Presence helps Homie understand who appears to be home. It can power arrival greetings, delivery gates, and when-then promises, but it is not a perfect location tracker.

Presence polls local network signals for trusted member devices. It records home/away-like state and feeds announcements, arrival routines, and commitments.

Use it for practical household moments, such as speaking only when someone is home or telling you when a member appears to arrive.

Homie can use trusted member device signals, recent trusted interactions, and each member's pause or resume setting.

Presence is not a universal GPS tracker. Rotated MACs and sleeping devices can make it unknown or stale.

Unknown does not mean away. If Homie cannot see a trusted signal clearly, it should avoid making strong claims or firing promises that depend on certainty.

Members need trusted device identification. Personal settings can pause or resume presence participation.

For best results, each member should connect a device that usually comes home with them. If a phone changes privacy settings or randomizes its network identity, presence may need to be refreshed.

Presence is used as a delivery and trigger signal. It should not become a broad personal surveillance feed.

Check the surface you are using. A dashboard, personal phone, email flow, and voice reply can all show different parts of Homie by design.

- Use presence for home-related triggers, not exact location claims.

- Pause presence when you do not want Homie to use it.

- Check device setup if arrival triggers stop working.

Most Homie issues come from setup, identity, or approval state. Work through these checks before assuming Homie ignored the request.

- Check whether the question belongs on the shared dashboard, personal mobile, mail, or voice.

- Verify the required permission, account, or microphone setting is enabled.

- Use personal mobile for private member content and the shared screen for household content.

Good to know: A presence.arrived or presence.left trigger can fire a commitment, such as telling someone when a member gets home.

- Use presence for home-related triggers, not exact location claims.

- Pause presence when you do not want Homie to use it.

- Check device setup if arrival triggers stop working.

- Tell me when Bina gets home.

- Pause my presence.

- Who is home right now?
