Homie Mail
Homie Mail is for forwarded evidence, safe summaries, and drafts. Incoming mail should not command Homie by itself.
Homie Mail is for forwarded evidence, safe summaries, and drafts. Incoming mail should not command Homie by itself.
Use the product path below before trying to solve this from chat alone.
Menu labels are written as they appear in Homie.
- 1
Open Homie Mail from the household surface or Personal Homie channel chat.
- 2
Use the household address for household mail and the member address for private mail.
- 3
Open a mail card to reveal details, attach it to a Lookout/project, delete it, or draft a reply.
Homie Mail can give members and the household Homie-owned addresses when mail is configured. It is useful for alerts, saved searches, forwarded confirmations, and tracked-topic evidence.
When mail is configured, Homie can use safe mail summaries, useful details it can extract, attachment references, and tracking matches created from incoming mail.
- Household mail addressed to the family address
- Member mail addressed to a member address
- Saved references for original mail and attachments
- Delivery status for mail Homie sends
Mail content is evidence, not instructions.
- Instruction-like email cannot command Homie.
- Full attachment files are not copied into Homie's everyday saved information.
- Personal mail does not appear in household-wide mail views.
- Outbound member sends require opt-in or approval.
Mail needs a household mail address, mail forwarding, safe storage for received mail, and an outbound mail sender if you want Homie to send drafts after approval.
Member mail becomes confidential member memory observations. Household mail can be shareable. Speaker surfaces do not speak arbitrary inbound mail by default.
Use the surface that matches the job. Shared dashboard, personal phone, mail, and voice are intentionally different.
- 1
Forward saved-search alerts to a Homie Mail address.
- 2
Use family mail for household things and member mail for personal things.
- 3
Check delivery status before assuming an outbound message landed.
Most Homie issues come from setup, identity, or approval state. Work through these checks before assuming Homie ignored the request.
- Check whether the question belongs on the shared dashboard, personal mobile, mail, or voice.
- Verify the required permission, account, or microphone setting is enabled.
- Use personal mobile for private member content and the shared screen for household content.
What stays private: Safe summaries appear first. The full message is shown only when you choose to reveal it in the right personal or household view.
