Follow work Homie is doing
When Homie does multi-step work, follow the status card: plan, progress, result, approval, sharing, and cancellation all live around that card.
When Homie does multi-step work, follow the status card: plan, progress, result, approval, sharing, and cancellation all live around that card.
Use the product path below before trying to solve this from chat alone.
Menu labels are written as they appear in Homie.
- 1
Open Pending items or the visible Homie work card.
- 2
Check whether the run is waiting, running, finished, cancelled, or waiting for approval.
- 3
Open the result card before sharing or sending any draft.
Use this when Homie is researching, comparing, drafting, mapping, planning, or doing another multi-step task.
This page is about the controls a household member can use today, not the internal system behind them.
Start from the run card, result card, or pending items. Check the status before deciding whether to cancel, approve, share, or send a draft.
- 1
Open the Homie work card.
- 2
Read the goal and current status.
- 3
If it is waiting for approval, review the plan before starting it.
- 4
Cancel when the work is wrong, stale, or no longer needed.
- 5
Open the result when the work finishes.
- 6
Share the result only with the right person or channel.
- 7
For drafted mail or messages, review the final text before sending.
Use these controls to correct Homie, reduce noise, or make the home match how the household actually works.
- Whether a waiting run starts now.
- Whether active work is cancelled.
- Checklist state for visible result blocks.
- Share recipient and channel for final results.
- Draft subject, recipient, and body before sending.
Homie should stay honest about what changed. If an action needs a trusted device, a claimed member, a connected account, or an approval, it should say so before claiming success.
- It will not claim a result is finished when the work was cancelled.
- It will not share an empty result.
- It will not send an empty draft or a draft with an invalid recipient.
- It will not bypass action approval when the final step reaches outside Homie.
Work started from a personal chat should return to that member's private surface. Household work can appear on household surfaces.
Before sharing a result, check whether it contains member-specific mail, private project context, or personal preferences.
After making an operational change, do one small check. It is the easiest way to catch a wrong member, wrong device, stale link, or missing permission while the context is still fresh.
- Check the run status after cancelling or approving.
- Open the result card before sharing.
- Ask Homie to summarize what it did if the card is hard to understand.
Make the goal concrete before asking for work. Homie needs an owner, a desired outcome, and a source, deadline, or signal it can actually use.
- 1
Cancel early if the task is pointed at the wrong goal.
- 2
Share summaries, not private details copied straight from the work.
- 3
Use projects for work that will continue over days or weeks.
Most Homie issues come from setup, identity, or approval state. Work through these checks before assuming Homie ignored the request.
- Make sure the project has a clear goal and owner.
- Check whether the work needs an approval, connected account, or source link.
- Ask for the run status if Homie started multi-step work and did not finish visibly.
Good to know: Most changes apply to Homie's saved setup. Connected accounts and devices may still need a refresh or reconnect.
Tips
- Cancel early if the task is pointed at the wrong goal.
- Share summaries, not private details copied straight from the work.
- Use projects for work that will continue over days or weeks.
- What work is Homie doing right now?
- Cancel that research run.
- Share this result with Maya.
