Home Base is optional for some early homes, but it is the trusted place for local saved information and recurring household work.

Use the product path below before trying to solve this from chat alone.

Menu labels are written as they appear in Homie.

  1. 1

Open Homie on the Mac that runs Home Base.

  2. 2

Use Settings -> Advanced for model, behavior, and computer-control settings.

  3. 3

If macOS blocks access, follow the card to System Settings and grant the requested permission.

Home Base is for households that want more processing to happen on a Mac they own.

Features that depend on local devices, scheduled checks, or Mac-only integrations need that Mac setup to be healthy.

The Mac should stay plugged in, online, and signed in to the household tools you choose.

If it sleeps or goes offline, Homie should report the gap clearly instead of filling in guesses.
